Astro-Photography

I have recently aquired the occasional use of a Celestron Nextstar 8 telescope. So I purchased an adapter and eyepiece projection set for my Canon Rebel XS. With this I’ve been doing some playing around with Astro-Photography. I also stumbled upon a very useful piece of free software called RegiStax 5. This software allows the registration and stacking of multiple exposures, either from captured video or multiple still images. The two images here are the results of this hardware and software. The Moon is from three exposures, Jupiter from 15.

The Perseids 2009

Last Wednesday we had good weather to do some meteor watching. I tried to get some pictures with my new camera but had no luck, the smores were good though. Here are some of the pictures I did get:
